Alfredo Griffin, Kirk Gibson Drive In Four Runs Each in Dodgers Fourth Straight Win

Dodgers 11, Braves 3  (4-1)

The Dodgers turned on the offense and picked up their fourth straight win behind the bats of Alfredo Griffin and Kirk Gibson.  Griffin went three for four with a double, a walk, four RBIs and three runs while Kirk Gibson went two for five with a homerun and four RBIs.  The homerun was his first in a Dodgers uniform and Pedro Guerrero and Rick Dempsey also went yard in the win.

Fernando Valenzuela coasted to an easy win and he improved to 1-1.  He gave up three runs on six hits and two walks with three strikeouts in eight innings of work.  Brian Holton threw a perfect ninth to close out the game.
