Following the Dodgers and Exploring The Team’s Past

All the Dodgers would need was one offensive inning to give themselves a 4-2 win over the Giants in Monday’s series opener.
Hiroki Kuroda picked up the win to even his record at 5-5. He gave up just a solo homerun in the second and shut the Giants out until he left with one out in the sixth. Kuo, Belisario, and Sherrill all combined for two innings before Broxton came on for the save, though he did give up a solo homerun to Benji Molina in the ninth.
The Dodgers picked up all four runs in the fourth, keyed by a bases-loaded double by Matt Kemp to clear the bases. Mark Loretta then cashed in Kemp with an RBI-single of his own.
Randy Wolf is looking to even his record back to .500 tonight; he is 6-4 lifetime against the Giants. He will face Joe Martinez, who picked up his first big-league win last week and is facing the Dodgers for the first time in his career.
