Chad Billingsley tossed a three-hitter as the Dodgers avoided the sweep by taking a 2-0 win from the Astros.
Billingsley improved to a perfect 4-0 while going 7 1/3 and striking out 5. Broxton then picked up his fifth save in finishing the eighth and ninth innings with two strikeouts.
Manny Ramirez drove in Rafael Furcal in the first to put the Dodgers up 1-0, and that would be the only run they would need for the win. Casey Blake added an insurance run with an RBI-double in the seventh. Both Ramirez and Orlando Hudson had multi-hit games.
The Dodgers face the Rockies this weekend after sweeping them once already this season. They head to Coors Field, with Eric Stults facing Aaron Cook. Stults is looking to pick up his third win and Cook is 0-1, including giving up five runs to the Dodgers last week.
