June 1, 1988 at Shea Stadium
Dodgers 4, Mets 3  (28-20)

The Dodgers salvaged a win in the final game of their series with the Mets to avoid a sweep.  Jeff Hamilton drove in two runs with a pinch hit single in the seventh inning  which proved to be the difference in the game.  Pedro Guerrero was the only Dodger with a pair of hits.

Tim Belcher threw two shutout innings but then he was ejected in the third.  Brian Holton picked up his first win of the season and he gave up one run in four innings of solid relief.
