Following the Dodgers and Exploring The Team’s Past

The Dodgers came back from a 4-1 deficit to force extra innings and even up the series as they beat the Angels 5-4 in 10 innings.
Randy Wolf shut out the Angels for the first three frames before running into trouble in the fourth and fifth. He allowed four runs, all off homeruns, on ten hits, and left with one out in the seventh. He ended up earning his seventh no-decision of the season before Ronald Belisario finished the seventh and eighth and Broxton picked up the win with two shutout innings.
The Dodgers scored first, with one in the second, but were down 4-1 by the fifth. Russell Martin and James Loney answered back in the bottom of the fifth with RBI-singles to put the Dodgers within one. Casey Blake cashed in an RBI with one of his three hits on the night, coming in the eighth to score Loney to tie the game. Juan Pierre went 0-for-5 for the first time this season, but drew a bases-loaded walk in the 10th to give the Dodgers the win.
The Dodgers will sit Russell Martin, Rafael Furcal, as well as Andre Ethier for Sunday’s game. The back-ups will have to put up some offensive support for Chad Billingsley, who will face Matt Palmer, who is a perfect 5-0 this season.
