The Dodgers took advantage of the Mets five total errors, including one in the 11th inning that allowed the Dodgers to win, 3-2.
Randy Wolf had a solid outing, holding the Mets to two runs on six hits before being lifted with two outs in the eighth. He came out when the game was tied and didn’t factor into the decision. Cory Wade, Jonathan Broxton, and Ramon Troncoso all combined for 3 1/3 shutout innings, with Troncoso picking up the win.
The Dodgers jumped on Tim Redding for two runs in the first, with Juan Pierre scoring the first run and Rafael Furcal scoring off James Loney’s sacfly. The Dodgers did go 0 for 11 with RISP, though, and scored 0 runs between the 2nd and 10th innings. Brian Stokes was on the mound for the Mets in the 11th, and the Dodgers took the win after two Mets errors, including a throwing error by first baseman Jeremy Reed, which eventually allowed Mark Loretta to score the winning run.
The Dodgers have now won five of six as they look to get another win against the Mets. Chad Billingsley will take the mound and face John Maine.
