Following the Dodgers and Exploring The Team’s Past

After being held to one run through seven by Dan Haren, the Dodgers put up five runs in the eighth to give themselves a win and even up the series.
Randy Wolf had a shaky outing, giving up a run in the first and then a grand slam in the second to Justin Upton to give the Dbacks a 5-0 lead. He settled down after that, shutting out the Dback offense for the next four frames. Jeff Weaver picked up his third win after tossing two innings, and Jonathan Broxton sealed the save with a 1-2-3 ninth, including two strikeouts.
The Dodgers were held to just two hits off Haren through seven, and Haren himself put up more–three–hits off Wolf. Andre Ethier drove a solo homerun in the second after the Dbacks already had a 5-0 lead. The Dodgers then came from behind to rally in the eighth, with James Loney tying the game with a two-out bases-clearing double, and coming around to score the go-ahead run on Casey Blake’s RBI-single.
Chad Billingsley will take the mound in tonight’s rubber match and will face Jon Garland, who is making his career debut at Dodger Stadium.
