Dodgers Fall From First After Loss to Mets

Mets 5, Dodgers 2  (22-15)

The Dodgers fell from first place for the first time since May 1 as Don Sutton was touched up for four runs in 4 1/3 innings.  He gave up the runs on eight hits and three walks and he struck out two and the loss evened his record at 3-3 on the season.

Steve Sax was the hitting star in the loss with three singles, an RBI and a stolen base.  John Shelby also pitched in with two singles, a run, a stolen base and an RBI.
