On Friday, the Dodgers sealed the win in walk-off fashion to even up the series.
Jamie Moyer held the Dodgers to just two runs on four hits through seven innings. Heading into the ninth, the Dodgers were down by one run with two outs. Casey Blake drove a single, James Loney walked, and Russell Martin got on base from an error to load them for Andre Ethier, who drove a two-run double to give the Dodgers the walk-off win.
Eric Milton picked up the no-decision, giving up three runs on eight hits before being lifted with one out in the fifth. Mota, Leach and Troncoso all combined to shut the Phils out before Broxton earned his sixth win, with all three outs in the ninth for strikeouts.
Andre Ethier delivered again for the Dodgers on Saturday. He drove a solo homerun in the fourth, and a solo homerun by Furcal in the ninth sent the game to extras. Ethier then drilled his second homerun of the night in the 12th to give the Dodgers the win.
Hiroki Kuroda pitched phenomenally, shutting out the Phillies through six while allowing just two hits and striking out five. Belisario gave the go-ahead couple of runs in the seventh, but Troncoso, Broxton, and Wade all shut out the Phillies at the plate after that. Cory Wade had to hitless innings for the win.
Randy Wolf will take the mound on Sunday and face Antonio Bastardo, who is making just his second big-league start.
