Dodgers Go For Series Win

by @ 5:20 am. Filed under 2008 Dodgers

The Dodgers look to win two straight for a series win against the Rockies tonight at 7:10. Both teams are tied for third at 10-13, seven games behind first place Arizona.

Brad Penny will start, looking for his fourth win of the season. He is 12-2 lifetime against the Rockies. The Rockies will throw LHP Mark Redman, who is 2-1 this season.

Andruw Jones will likely be out of the lineup after leaving yesterday’s game in the fifth, where he fouled a pitch off of his calf. Blake DeWitt will also be called up to replace Nomar, who is expected to rejoin the DL today.

Quote of the Game- Joe Torre, on yesterday’s win:

“I’d like to look back on this night and this was the start of something special.”

Let’s hope so, Joe.
