by @ 5:56 am. Filed under 2008 Dodgers

The Dodgers leave home after winning four of seven and set out for a nine-game roadtrip, beginning in San Diego today at 7:05 with the Padres who are sporting a five-game win streak.

Clayton Kershaw will head to the mound for his fourth major league start. He faces vetran Greg Maddux, who has 350 more career wins than Kershaw, who is in search of his first. Maddux is 3-4 this season with a 3.48 ERA.

Andy LaRoche will also likely be called up today as a back-up infielder, with Chin-lung Hu being optioned to Triple A Salt Lake on Monday and Furcal still out of the lineup until at least this weekend.

The Dodgers play three with the Padres before heading to Detroit this weekend for an Interleague Series with the AL Central Tigers.
