Dodgers Held to Four Hits In Loss to Braves

by @ 3:47 am. Filed under 1988 Dodgers, 1988 Dodgers Diary - April

April 17, 1988 at Dodger Stadium
Braves 3, Dodgers 1  (8-4)

The Dodgers picked up just four hits as they failed to sweep the Braves despite a solid outing by Don Sutton.  Steve Sax singled and drove in the lone Dodger run and no hitter reached base more then once.

Sutton dropped to 0-2 and he gave up two runs on five hits with five strikeouts in the loss.  Most of the damage that was given up came on a two run homer off of Sutton in the sixth inning by Garcia.
