Dodgers Held to Four Hits In Second Straight Loss to Mets

by @ 3:00 am. Filed under 1988 Dodgers, 1988 Dodgers Diary - May

May 21, 1988 at Dodger Stadium
Mets 4, Dodgers 0  (22-16)

The Dodger slide continued as they dropped their second straight game and it was their fourth loss in their last five games.  It didn’t help that the Dodgers picked up just four hits with John Shelby’s being the only one for extra bases with a double.

Tim Belcher dropped to 3-2 on the season with a rough start.  He gave up four runs on seven hits and a walk with five strikeouts in just five innings.
