Dodgers Held to Six Hits In Shutout Loss to Padres

by @ 11:13 am. Filed under 1988 Dodgers, 1988 Dodgers Diary - April

April 14, 1988 at Jack Murphy Stadium
Padres 2, Dodgers 0  (6-3)

The Dodgers got a nice outing from Fernando Valenzuela but it was wasted because the Dodgers couldn’t push a single man across the plate. In all, the offense was held to six hits with Mike Davis being the only Dodger to pick up two hits in the game.

Valenzuela went the distance but he fell to 1-2 on the season.  He gave up two runs on nine hits and four walks with three strikeouts.
