Following the Dodgers and Exploring The Team’s Past

The Dodgers nailed power slugger Manny Ramirez from the World Champion Red Sox in a three-team deal at the trade deadline.
The Dodgers gave up Andy LaRoche and first-round Draft pick pitcher Brian Morris, who went to Pittsburgh along with Craig Hansen and Brandon Moss from the Red Sox while the Red Sox got Jason Bay from the Pirates.
Ramirez, an 11-time All-Star, will be leaving his home in front of the Green Monster at Fenway to join the Dodgers in their late-season run for the playoffs. Manny is batting .299 with 20 HRs and 68 RBI this season. So 5’s a crowd for the Dodgers outfield…Manny will be the everyday leftfielder while Andruw Jones, Juan Pierre, Matt Kemp, and Andre Ethier will vie for two spots. My guess is Kemp will stay in right for most of the games while getting Ethier in there and at center with Juan Pierre, so Jones and his sinking slump may have lost his chance.
