Following the Dodgers and Exploring The Team’s Past

1-10. That’s the Dodgers record since the All Star break. And during that streak, the Dodgers went from the wild card leader to five games back. Just as worse, the Dodgers are tied for last in a tight NL West. The Dodgers also have had their best offense in a while, and all they could manage was two runs in three games against the Cardinals.
Brad Penny threw a really nice game on Friday, but he got no run support. The Dodgers managed six hits and four walks, but nobody crossed the plate in the 2-0 loss.
Yesterday, we lost to Jeff Weaver of all people. Nomar Garciaparra singled home a run in first and that’s all the Dodgers managed the entire game. In the meantime, Aaron Sele gave up two homeruns and dropped to 6-4 on the season.
This afternoon, the Dodgers lost 6-1 again. The only run was scored in the ninth on Russ Adams RBI double. Chad Billingsley was roughed up through five innings and he’s now 1-3.
The losing streak has to end and this would be the perfect time to do it. Next up is a three game series over the first place Padres. There’s no better way to pick up games then to beat the division leader.
