Dodgers Offense Held In Check Again In Second Straight Loss to Padres

by @ 5:56 pm. Filed under 1988 Dodger Diary - June, 1988 Dodgers

June 11, 1988 at Jack Murphy Stadium
Padres 2, Dodgers 1  (32-24)

The Dodgers dropped their second straight one run game and in this one, they managed just five hits and they couldn’t capitalize on three Padre errors.  Mickey Hatcher went two for four with a run and Kirk Gibson singled twice.

A nice start by Don Sutton went to waste and he fell to 3-4.  He gave up two runs on five hits and three walks with two strikeouts in six innings.
