Following the Dodgers and Exploring The Team’s Past

The Dodgers were able to avoid the sweep by sandwiching in a win on Saturday before heading to Phoenix to open a set with the Diamondbacks.
The Dodgers were shut out on Friday, with Kershaw posting another quality start but taking the loss for a lack of run support. The offense came out on Saturday, though, plating seven runs on nine hits, keyed by a three-run homerun by Andre Ethier. Randy Wolf also picked up the win, the 100th of his career. Hiroki Kuroda finally came off the DL to make the start on Sunday, but took the loss after giving up four runs through five innings. Ethier drove in two in the seventh to put the Dodgers within one run, but they were hitless in the last two innings.
Vicente Padilla will take on Max Scherzer in the first of a three game series. Scherzer is 2-0 in his last two starts, including a 4-1 win against the Dodgers last week.
