Starter Chad Billingsley got his fifth loss of the season while the offense could only produce three hits in the 5-0 shutout loss.
Astros starter Chris Sampson only gave up three hits in his seven innings of work, singles to Matt Kemp and Chin-lung Hu and a double to James Loney. Hu started again for Rafael Furcal at short.
Billingsley gave up five runs, four earned, through five innings. The Astros rallied for three in the first and two more in the second and were then shutout after that, with Billingsley settling down to retire nine straight batters. The bullpen delievered for four shutout innings, with Chan Ho Park pitching three and Joe Beimel the ninth.
The Dodgers look to end their losing streak at three games, with their final game of the series on Sunday.
