Casey Blake propelled the Dodgers to a 5-3 win over the Mets with a go-ahead three-run homerun in the sixth. The Dodgers jumped out for a 1-0 lead in the first and Billingsley doubled in Blake in the fourth.
Billingsley picked up his sixth win after struggling through the second and third innings. He gave up three runs, but fanned seven through 6 1/3 innings. Leach, Belisario and Wade all worked from the bullpen before Jonathan Broxton picked up his 10th save.
Orlando Hudson came out in the seventh after injuring his left shoulder while trying to catch Jose Reyes’ single. It turned out to be only a bruise, and he is listed as day-to-day. Jeff Weaver takes the mound tonight and looks to give the Dodgers a sweep of the Mets. He will face Livan Hernandez, who is 3-1 with a 5.59 ERA.
