After a late-inning comeback by the Angels on Friday night, the Dodgers took the last two games for the series win over cross-town rival Angels.

The Dodgers were able to score four runs off Joe Saunders, including a solo shot by Loney in the fourth and a two-run shot by Furcal in the fifth.
Saturday night was a match-up of the Weaver brothers, the first time Jeff and Jered have faced each other in their careers. Jeff ended up taking the win for the Dodgers, and Jered the loss. Jeff went six innings, holding the Angels to two runs while striking out four. The Dodgers touched Jered for six runs on ten hits before chasing him in the sixth inning. Ethier went 1 for 4 with two RBI, Martin had a solo homerun, one of his three hits on the night.
The Dodgers were on stage in front of the entire baseball nation again on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball, and got the 5-3 win to seal the rubber match of the series.
Clayton Kershaw pitched one of his best games of the season, shutting out the Angels through seven while striking out five. He threw 63 of his 107 pitches for strikes, and gave way to Troncoso for the eighth, who was tagged for one run. Jonathan Broxton made it interesting in the ninth, giving up three hits and a walk for two runs, but ironically ended up picking up his 17th save of the season.
John Lackey held the Dodgers scoreless until the fifth to make it 1-0. They scored another in the seventh and James Loney smashed a two-run homerun in the eighth to make it 4-0. Juan Pierre went 3 for 5 with 2 RBI. Furcal, Blake, Ethier, and Kemp also had two hits apiece.
The Dodgers have Monday off to travel to Chicago for a matchup with the White Sox for another interleague series. Hiroki Kuroda will face John Danks, who is 5-5 and 1-0 in one career start against the Dodgers. Kuroda is still looking for his first win since Opening Day.
