Don Sutton Has Rough Start, Dodgers Five Game Winning Streak Ends

June 22, 1988 at Dodger Stadium
Braves 4, Dodgers 1  (39-29)

The Dodgers five game winning streak came to an end as the offense was held in check.  Dave Anderson’s double was one of the Dodgers four hits and he drove in Jeff Hamilton for the lone Dodger run.

Don Sutton had a rough start and he fell to 3-5.  He gave up four runs on six hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings.  Three relievers combined to throw 5 1/3 innings of shutout relief but it wasn’t enough.
