Padres 5, Dodgers 3  (5-2)

The Dodgers blew a three run lead and with it, their five game winning streak came to an end.  Don Sutton fell to 0-1 and he gave up four runs on seven hits and one walk in 4 2/3 innings.  Brad Havens was also tagged for a run while Tim Belcher threw two shutout innings of relief.

John Shelby and Mike Scioscia each had a team high three hits in the loss.  Kirk Gibson went two for five with a double, a run and an RBI as the Dodgers picked up twelve hits yet could push only three of them across the plate.
