Floyd Keeps Dodger Bats Quiet

by @ 11:38 am. Filed under 2009 Dodgers

Gavin Floyd pitched six shutout innings, allowing seven hits to the Dodgers while also having seven strikeouts. The Dodgers managed to score one in the eighth but it was too little too late. Manny Ramirez and Rafael Furcal each had two hits for the game.

Randy Wolf sailed through five innings before getting roughed up and pulled in the sixth. Wolf loaded the bases and Alexi Ramirez knocked in two with a double. Wolf allowed two more runs before leaving the mound to Mota, who struck out two in a row to end the inning. Tanyon Sturtze gave up two runs in the seventh before Broxton finished a scoreless eighth.

The Dodgers face the Padres today, with Eric Stults facing Cha Seung Baek.
