Mark Hendrickson Pitches Dodgers to Win, Two Game Series With Rockies Ends in a Split

by @ 3:07 pm. Filed under 2007 Season

The Dodgers picked up the last game of their two game series with the Rockies and in the process, they remained in first place.  Mark Hendrickson got it done with 5 2/3 solid innings.  He gave up just one run on five hits and a walk with two strikeouts and he picked up his first win of the season.

Jeff Kent had a huge day at the plate in the 8-1 win.  He went three for four with two runs and two RBIs.  Juan Pierre had two hits, a run and an RBI.

The Dodger stand at 11-5 and the Pirates roll into town.  The Pirates aren’t as horrible as they usually and they have some solid young pitching so there could be some low scoring games in this one.  Regardless, I like our chances.
