The Dodgers current five game winning streak started with a three hit shutout by Orel Hershiser and it continued with another solid outing as Hershiser improved to 2-0. He gave up just a single run on five hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 8 1/3 innings and the one run he did give up didn’t come until the ninth inning. Jesse Orosco got the final batter out and he picked up his second save of the season.
Mike Marshall singled twice and drove in a run to lead the way at the plate for the Dodgers. Pedro Guerrero singled, drove in a run and scored.
