Randy Wolf Hit Hard in Dodgers Loss

by @ 3:00 am. Filed under 2007 Season

Randy Wolf gave up five runs on six hits and a walk with six strikeouts in six innings last night and the loss drops him to 3-2 on the season.  Most of the damage was done in the first inning when he gave up four runs, three of which came on a Barry Bonds homerun.

Rafael Furcal was the hitting star in the 6-4 loss.  He went two for five with a run and an RBI.  Russ Martin had two hits including a double and he drove in one run.

So the Dodgers have to win tonight to avoid a sweep.  Brad Penny takes the mound and he’s pitched as well as anyone in the National League and the Dodgers’ hitters will go up aganst Russ Ortiz.  I like our chances in this one.
