Following the Dodgers and Exploring The Team’s Past

Recent call-up Jamie Hoffmann, in his big league debut, notched four RBIs and a homerun but the Dodgers took a 10-7 loss to lose the series finale.
The Dodgers gave Chad Billingsley a quick 4-0 lead by the second inning, but Billingsley ended up taking the loss. He gave up two runs in the third and allowed the Angels to pull ahead with a three-run rally in the sixth. The Angels then touched Cory Wade for two runs in the seventh and Leach and Troncoso were tagged for a combined three more runs in the ninth.
The Dodgers four-run second was keyed by Jamie Hoffmann’s three-run blast, his first in the big leagues. The Dodger bats were then quiet until the eighth, scoring two runs, and another in the ninth, but fell a few short of a come-from-behind victory. Pierre, Hudson, Blake, Kemp, and Hoffmann all had multi-hit games.
The Dodgers don’t have much time to dwell on this one, as they have an early afternoon game in Colorado on Monday. Eric Stults will make the start and face Jorge De La Rosa.
