You might have to be a statistics expert to fully grasp this article, but the bottom line is clear: when Torre comes to a new town, teams win. Of the four teams that Torre has previously taken over, three had significantly improved their win column from the previous year.

So, if Torre’s trend continues, the Dodgers will have 90 wins this season. That would’ve been enough to tie them atop the NL West for 2007.

A little comical, a little too mathematical….. but it sheds optimism for this year’s Dodgers.
