Tim Belcher Throws 6+ Shutout Innings In Dodgers Win

Dodgers 3, Padres 0  (35-28)

Tim Belcher and the Dodgers bullpen came to the rescue as the Dodger snapped their three game winning streak.  Belcher improved to 4-4 and he gave up just three hits and three walks with three strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings.  Jay Howell threw two shutout innings to close out the game and he picked up his eight save of the season.

Kirk Gibson belted homerun number 13 on the season.  John Shelby went two for four with a run while Hamilton went yard with a two run homer.
