Following the Dodgers and Exploring The Team’s Past

The Dodgers remained five games up as they beat the Giants in Sunday’s rubber match, 6-2.
Wolf picked up another win, going six-plus innings, with his only mistakes being a solo homerun in each the first and sixth innings. Kuo, Sherrill, and Broxton then each tossed a perfect inning apiece, with Sherrill and Broxton notching two K’s each.
Andre Ethier got the offense going with a two-run homerun in the third to put the Dodgers in the lead. Ronnie Belliard made it 4-1 with a two-RBI single in the fourth.
The Dodgers have Monday off before heading to Washington to take on what should be an easy series with the Nationals. Hiroki Kuroda will make the start on Tuesday, facing Livan Hernandez. Kuroda is 2-0 in his last two starts and is facing the Nats for the first time in his career, while Hernandez took a loss in his last outing against the Phillies, though yielded just two earned runs.
